Virgin Money, a full-service digital bank, has added a new pension capability to its FNZ-powered digital platform, further expanding its partnership with wealth management platform FNZ.

Launched in April 2023, the digital investment solution seeks to enhance accessibility, simplicity, and transparency for UK retail investors.

The direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform empowers both novice and seasoned investors with direct access to a variety of investment funds within an ISA or GIA.

All transactions are conducted online and through a dedicated app, ensuring a seamless digital experience, supported by FNZ’s technology.

The latest pension capability introduces two distinctive options, Navigator and Self Drive, enabling customers to take control of their finances for a more secure retirement.

The pension is designed with a focus on simplicity, instilling confidence in customers to make informed decisions about managing their finances.

Virgin Money also assists customers in consolidating existing pensions into a single plan.

Through a straightforward process, customers can transfer their current pensions into the Virgin Money pension, providing a clearer overview of their potential retirement income and facilitating centralised management.

Virgin Money Investments CEO Jonathan Byrne said: “We’re delighted to have launched a new pension proposition – giving customers the confidence to plan for a brighter retirement and feel in control of their money.

“Planning for the future should feel straightforward. That’s why we’ve designed our new pension to simplify the path to financial security.”

After a comprehensive selection process, Virgin Money selected FNZ as its partner. This was due to their state-of-the-art technology. Proven excellence in delivering market-leading direct-to-consumer propositions. A track record of complex platform implementations. And their ability to deliver innovative end-to-end digital experiences across multiple channels.

FNZ UK, Middle East and Africa CEO Alastair Conway said: “We’re thrilled to have partnered with Virgin Money on the launch of the new pension offering. Our partnership reflects our joint commitment to transforming the landscape of wealth management, helping everyone, everywhere invest in their future on their own terms.”
