25 Feb 2010: Bonaire Software Solutions, LLC, a leading provider of financial services software solutions to investment managers, fund administrators, mutual funds, wealth managers, broker dealers and RIAs, announced that it has completed a proprietary market research study to establish a baseline and to capture trends related to operational efficiency and margins associated with revenue management and fee billing. In today’s economic environment, finding ways to automate mission critical processes, save time and money is essential.

Fee and revenue management affect a firm’s profitability from a cost as well as an income perspective. Bonaire’s proprietary research indicates that the cost drivers associated with accurate fee and revenue management are increasing and changing. The revenue side of the equation can be negatively affected by late billing, under billing, over billing, not billing or the damage to advisor or customer relationships by any of the above. The cost of not addressing a firm’s fee and revenue management model is too great to ignore.

The top findings from the research include:

• 65% of all firms reporting have had to accommodate changes in fee schedules or products
• 30% of firms reporting admit to experiencing fee leakage
• 44% of investment managers report that their fees have decreased
• 83% report that account volumes have increased
• 77% report that they expect Compliance to increase over the next three years
