Datawatch Announces Monarch Data Pump Version 10.5 Professional Edition

28 April 2010:

Datawatch Corporation, a leader in business intelligence (BI), today announced Monarch™ Data Pump V10.5 Professional Edition, the latest upgrade to the company’s server-based data distribution, Extraction, Transformation, Loading (ETL) and application integration solution. Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro, which offers all the report and data mining capabilities of the product’s standard edition, is designed to provide high-volume data production while taking advantage of value-added features such as web services, remote administration via a web browser and tight integration within SQL server information services (SSIS). Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro is also compatible with the new Windows 7 operating system.

For companies that struggle with getting usable data from any database or application, or need to access and deliver data from multiple or outside sources, Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro provides data ETL and integration that is easy-to-use, set-up and maintain. Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro automatically mines and combines data from reports, PDF files and other data sources, such as spreadsheets or databases, without any new programming required. It also provides effortless customisation of data views by providing calculated fields, data summarisation, sorts, filters, lookups and more. In addition, Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro easily uploads data to any ODBC or OLE DB-compliant database including SQL Server, Oracle or DB2.

Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro also helps companies save money on report distribution while easing compliance and reducing the audit cycle. Companies can use it to export mined data into end-user friendly formats such as Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and automatically deliver it to the right people. As an added benefit, this new version of Monarch Data Pump Pro allows companies to create and export Excel spreadsheets containing a copy of the original report source of the data, eliminating the time-intensive process of confirming a spreadsheet’s accuracy. Digital signatures can also be added for maximum data integrity.

“What customers need is simple: a solution that can help them get the right data to the right place to inform business decisions. Yet, the answer isn’t always easy. Traditional BI tools make it difficult and expensive to automate the process of acquiring, analyzing and distributing high-quality data to data marts or to end users,” said John Kitchen, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Datawatch. “Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro gives customers powerful, programming-free business intelligence at a fraction of the cost, time and complexity of alternative solutions. With this new version, we can help customers take on the toughest challenges in high-volume ETL and information delivery.”

Targeted to enterprises that need higher data throughput, Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro offers the same functionality as the standard edition plus adds the following:

  • Ability to install up to 32 physical CPUs for significantly higher volume of data production (Monarch Data Pump Standard can be installed with up to 2 physical CPUs)
  • Powerful remote administration over the network using the familiar Microsoft management console interface; administrators can remotely view and run processes, cancel and delete jobs, view job logs, check server status and more
  • Ability to use web-enabled Monarch Data Pump administration with any browser
  • Web services interface for seamless movement to and from other applications and even other platforms
  • Tight integration with SQL server integration services (SSIS) 2005 and 2008
