US-based Zions Bank, a subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation, has launched its mobile banking service, to enable its consumer banking clients to use their mobile phones to access their accounts, view balances, and transfer funds.

Zions Bank claimed that its mobile banking is as secure as online banking and uses a number of the same security features and provides the same high level of protection against fraud and identity theft. A PIN or password will be needed to access the application and no personal data or bank account information will be stored on a phone.

Scott Anderson, president and CEO of Zions Bank, said: “Mobile Banking is the foremost service for our valued clients who are on the go and want anytime access to their banking information. Zions Bank is excited to be able to provide customers with this safe, convenient and hassle-free service.”
