Wincor Nixdorf, a provider of IT solutions and services to retailers and retail banking, has launched CINEO System Family, part of Cash Cycle Management solutions portfolio, to automate cash processes in banks and retail enterprises to shorten the cash logistics chain.
Wincor Nixdorf said that the automation will be achieved through a banknote storage concept which allows to exchange cassettes between devices from the new CINEO system family. A memory chip in the cassette provides information at all times on both the level of cash inside, and where and when the cassette was used or opened.
Wincor Nixdorf added that the banknotes that will be deposited at the counter in a bank branch and stored in intelligent cassettes in an automated teller safe can be made available again for dispensing on automated teller machines (ATMs).
Wincor Nixdorf has further added that the CINEO portfolio includes automated teller safes, cash recycling systems, ATMs, and transaction terminals, as well as new software and services. It offers integrated security features, intuitive operation, faster transaction processing and the latest banknote and check recognition and handling technology. Additionally, a range of operating information will be delivered automatically, enabling proactive system management.
According to the Wincor Nixdorf, its CINEO C6030 Teller Cash Recycler, the first product to be available in US, is a counter model for use in the front and back office of the retail bank. With its interchangeable cassette storage capability, it makes cash that is deposited immediately available for dispensing.
