Wells Fargo has appointed Bob Kastenholz as senior vice president (SVP) and regional manager to oversee Wells Fargo Regional Commercial Banking Office (RCBO) in Chicago that serves middle-market companies with revenues in excess of $20m.

Previously, Mr Kastenholz worked 25 years for Chicago’s LaSalle National Bank, now Bank of America, where he was a senior vice president and market executive in the commercial banking group, serving Midwest clients.

Lisa Johnson, the chicago-based executive vice president and head of Wells Fargo commercial banking’s Illinois and Southeast Wisconsin region, said: “Illinois continues to be a great market for Wells Fargo, because of the large number of owner-operated middle-market companies here. Continuing to expand in this market in particular with industry veterans like Bob Kastenholz is a big focus for our commercial banking group’s strategy.”

Wells Fargo’s commercial banking Midwest division is headquartered in Chicago, and offers solutions tailored for the needs of middle-market businesses. The Midwest division includes a network of 18 commercial banking offices in nine Midwest states, including three in Chicago.
