Wells Fargo has appointed Steve Godfrey as new head of its foreign exchange e-commerce division. Based in San Francisco, Mr Godfrey will oversee strategy development and product execution for bank's electronic foreign exchange services. He will report to Sara Wardell-Smith, executive vice president of foreign exchange and international treasury management.

Prior to this role, Mr Godfrey was head of foreign exchange esolutions at Bank of America where he was responsible for client-facing trading, hedging platforms and managed international payment products for retail and commercial customers through online cash management systems.

Ms Wardell-Smith said: “With more than 18 years of experience developing foreign exchange online solutions for clients ranging from consumers to large institutions, Steve is well equipped to lead our e-commerce team.

”We are confident that, under Steve’s leadership, we will continue to provide our customers with improved online access to the foreign exchange products and services they need.”
