Wausau Financial Systems, a provider of payment and receivables processing solutions, has upgraded its ReceivableWorks solution to allow companies to accept additional forms of payment through its cashiering partnership with solutions integrator Core Business Technologies.

ReceivableWorks, built on Wausau’s retail and wholesale remittance platform, enables companies to aggregate, automate and accelerate receivables across all channels. Now, Wausau can accept walk-up/walk-in cashiering payments through its alliance with Core, which offers a cashiering solution that takes cash, check and debit or credit card payments through its iPayment revenue portal.

The solution combines with Core’s cashiering technology (the iPayment revenue portal) to provide a complete solution across all payment channels.

The features of the cashiering technology include: complete web-based payment capture, posting and auditing capabilities, with flexible payment entry for any kind of transaction; simplified daily account balancing, with timely, detailed management reports to guide decision-making; and comprehensive security for all functions, as well as PCI-DSS level security for hosted deployments.

Kathy Strasser, executive vice president of solution management at Wausau Financial Systems, said: “Many organizations in these sectors haven’t upgraded their payment processing systems for decades and are in desperate need of improvements. There are still customers who prefer to pay in person and in cash – and this combined solution is about giving consumers options.

“Through our partnership with Core, utility companies, for instance, can take walk-in transactions and accept multiple payments options onsite, immediately syncing with the company’s receivables system from Wausauas well as back-end systems.”
