United Western Bancorp has appointed Paul Maxwell to the position of CEO of Sterling Trust Company, the firm's administrative trust subsidiary, effective October 1, 2008.
Prior to joining Sterling Trust Company, Mr Maxwell was the executive vice president and COO of Trust Administration Services of Carlsbad, California, where he spent nine years.
Mr Maxwell will replace Paul Skretny, who has headed Sterling Trust since 1993 and will be stepping down as the CEO of Sterling Trust. Mr Skretny will continue serving Sterling Trust as an advisor.
