Umpqua Bank, a subsidiary of Umpqua Holdings, has opened a new branch in Portland, Oregon. The new location is one of five the bank plans to open in the Portland area before the end of 2010.

Umpqua’s new branch will be managed by Elizabeth Galbreath, who previously served as assistant manager at Umpqua’s Cultural District location in downtown Portland.

Ms Galbreath and her team will provide personal banking, small business and commercial lending solutions in-person and online.

Ray Davis, president and CEO of Umpqua Bank, said: “Our neighborhood stores are located where people live, work and play and the Sellwood community offers the perfect combination of all three. Our connection to Sellwood has been in the making for some time and we look forward to fully serving the community with our unique blend of banking and community focus.

“Our associates have already made an impact getting to know residents and business owners to learn about what issues are important to them and how we can join together to make a difference.”
