Umpqua Bank, a subsidiary of Umpqua Holdings, has said that it will open five new stores in the Portland metropolitan area over the next 12 months, bringing the total number of stores 25 in the Portland market.

Umpqua Bank said that each of the five new stores will offer personal banking, mortgage lending, business finance and lending resources as well as a space in the store to browse local merchandise, shop online.

According to the bank the stores will have a Discover Wall that digitally showcases neighborhood events, financial tools, product information and community involvement statistics and opportunities.

A LocalSpotlight program featuring local merchants and their products, a computer Cafe for consumers to bank online and surf the internet.

Umpqua Bank president and CEO Ray Davis said the bank already has strong presence and loyal customers in the greater Portland area, and have been looking for the next great communities that will embrace bank’s unconventional banking experience.
