Payment services company TSYS has entered into an agreement with Rabobank to process the Netherlands-based card issuer's consumer credit portfolio.

Rabobank has over one million accounts and, according to the company, its multi-stage conversion to TSYS’ TS2 platform is due to conclude in the second quarter of 2007.

Once this conversion is complete, TSYS will be the leading credit card processor in the Netherlands.

Under the agreement, TSYS will also support Rabobank’s climate compensation credit card, which was launched in September 2006 in cooperation with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF). Rabobank will compensate the WWF for carbon dioxide emissions connected with purchases that members make using this credit card.
