Thornburg Mortgage has appointed Caren Shiozaki as chief information officer and executive vice president.

She has also been appointed as managing director of Thornburg Mortgage Advisory Corporation. In her new role as chief information officer, Ms Shiozaki’s primary responsibility will be to create a competitive advantage that drives bottom-line business results for Thornburg Mortgage through the use of innovative technology solutions.

Ms Shiozaki most recently served as vice president and chief information officer of Belo, a media and publishing company that brought her in to improve their technology capabilities and increase their competitiveness in new media.
