Sun National Bank has appointed Derek Chauvette as its new EVP and director of wholesale banking. He will report directly to the CEO.

Mr Chauvette will manage all commercial banking efforts and drive key strategic initiatives to expand lines of business, including wholesale lending, deposits, cash management, and government banking. He will also lead the bank’s growing specialty segment business lines, including healthcare, real estate, asset-based lending, CRA and solar financing.

Mr Chauvette joined Sun from KeyCorp in Cleveland, where he most recently served as national business executive for the public sector group, with responsibility for managing more than 50 professionals. He held several progressive management roles at KeyCorp, including national sales manager of the organization’s corporate investment services group and vice president of fixed income sales.
