Standard Chartered Jordan has appointed Vasken Ajemian, who has been associated with the bank since 1995 and held various positions, as the head of wholesale banking.
Geoffrey Buchanan, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Jordan, said: “Ajemian brings with him over 15 years of experience and vision to lead our wholesale banking business to the next level. Vasken has a deep understanding of the needs and business aspirations of our corporate clients and financial institutions as well as the local market.
“Under his leadership, our global markets team have introduced more derivative products to the local market, and have successfully closed many ‘first-of-their-kind’ deals in country and regionally.
“I am confident that Vasken will drive the wholesale banking business to the next level, allowing us to deepen our core relationships and deliver on Jordan’s wholesale banking strategy.”
