Societe Generale has appointed Jean-Pierre Mustier, CEO of the group's corporate and investment banking unit, as the new head of the global investment management and services business. He will be appointed as the chairman and CEO of Societe Generale Asset Management replacing Alain Clot, who is expected to take up a new position within the group shortly.

Mr Mustier is a member of Societe Generale’s executive committee. He will be seconded by Sylvie Rucar, COO of the global investment management and services business, and a member of Societe Generale’s management committee.

The group has stated that in order to prevent potential conflicts of interest, the function of custodian carried out by Sociate Generale for the investment companies in the Societe Generale Asset Management group, will be directly supervised by a deputy CEO of Societe Generale.

Michel Peretie has been appointed as the new head of Societe Generale corporate and investment banking. He is a member of the group’s executive committee. Philippe Collas, chairman of Societe Generale global investment management and services, has been appointed as the senior adviser to Frederic Oudea, CEO. He is a member of Societe Generale’s management committee, as well as a member of the group’s executive committee for issues relevant to his areas of expertise.

Francoise Mercadal-Delasalles joins Societe Generale as the new head of operating efficiency and innovation alongside Severin Cabannes, deputy CEO. Ms Mercadal-Delasalles will be specifically in charge of meeting the objectives set out by the operating efficiency plan. In this capacity, she will be a member of Societe Generale’s management committee.
