NYSE Euronext has named two chief executives to head up its global derivatives business, NYSE Liffe, in London.

Mark Ibbotson and Finbarr Hutcheson, both executive vice presidents, will take over the new roles.

Ibbotson will be responsible for exchange trading, clearing and regulation and will retain his role as global head of clearing.

Hutcheson will be responsible for commercial and business development and will have specific responsibility for the group’s European Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) products.

Ibbotson and Hutcheson will both continue to report to Duncan Niederauer, CEO of NYSE Euronext.

Niederauer said, "With these appointments, we are executing on our commitment to optimize and deepen the relationships we have with our global clients, and respond more quickly to their needs and opportunities."

Ibbotson has worked for NYX since 1990 when the London market of NYSE Liffe operated as LIFFE while Hutcheson joined NYX in 2011.
