Japanese investment banking firm Nomura has expanded Nordics-based equities team by appointing Perttu Kiviniemi as head of equity sales in Finland.

Based in Helsinki, Kiviniemi will report to David Sahlin, head of equities for the Nordics. He will be responsible for the development of the Finnish equity business.

Prior to joining Nomura, Kiviniemi worked for over four years with Societe General, covering Finnish institutional clients. Prior to that he was associated with SEB for seven years.

Sahlin said that the firm already has a strong equities presence throughout Europe, and is now focused on building market share in the Nordics.

“Perttu has a great profile in the market and the proven experience to deliver our leading products to clients while driving our business forward,” Sahlin said.
