MUFG today announced that it has developed the MUFG Wealth Management Digital Platform (“WMPF”) to offer optimal solutions to high- net-worth customers. WMPF is scheduled to be deployed in the second half of fiscal 2021 at MUFG’s consolidated subsidiaries MUFG Bank, Ltd. (“MUFG Bank”), Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (“the Trust Bank”), and Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd. (“MUMSS”)

MUFG, including MUFG Bank, the Trust Bank and MUMSS, has united toward a vision of “MUFG Wealth Management” that provides high-quality wealth management services across the entire Group to help our customers achieve real wealth at various stages of their lives.

Utilizing the newly-developed WMPF, MUFG will work to understand the life goals of its customers and leverage our comprehensive strengths to utilize the Group’s total assets to propose optimal solutions for various needs, such as asset succession, business succession and asset management.

WMPF is a cross-firm common platform that consists of three functions: Holistic View, Next Best Action (NBA), and Goal Planning System (GPS).

Holistic View enhances MUFG’s integrated operations by displaying quick overview information regarding customers and advisors of MUFG Bank, the Trust Bank and MUMSS. NBA supports the sales activities of advisors and delivers recommendations using analytical models for the next action to be taken in light of the customer’s situation. GPS is a tool for visualizing customer balance sheets and simulating solutions to issues related to customers’ total assets, taking into account goals and cash flow according to life plans. GPS enables comprehensive proposals for portfolio management, asset succession (inheritance tax estimation, etc.) and business succession (valuation of company stock, etc.). The development of WMPF is also supported by the knowledge of Morgan Stanley (“MS”).
