Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management has hired a team of four investment professionals to serve ultra-high net worth clients in Latin American nations Venezuela and Colombia.

Based in Miami, the team includes two private wealth advisers: executive director Luis Miguel Gonzalez Ocque and vice president Alan Shlesinger.

They will be joined by vice president Christina Arguelles and client sales associate Eduardo Alvarez who will support the team. They join from Barclays Wealth and will report to Adriana Pineiro, executive director and regional sales manager at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management.

Mr Gonzalez Ocque began his career at American Express in 1999 as an analyst. Prior to joining Barclays Wealth, he spent eight years with Lehman Brothers as vice president.

Mr Shlesinger joined Barclays Wealth in 2008. Prior to that, he worked at Lehman Brothers for two years as an investment representative. He also worked as a proprietary trader with Generic Trading.
