MoneyGram International has extended its multi-year contract with the UK's Post Office, which has been offering MoneyGram money transfer services in all its 12,000 branches throughout the UK since 1997.

MoneyGram said the partnership with the UK’s Post Office is its longest-standing post office agent relationship. MoneyGram strategically aligns itself with post offices, as part of its growth strategy.

Post office systems of Canada, Cape Verde, Cyprus, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Italy, Jamaica, Jersey, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine are also part of MoneyGram’s network.

MoneyGram executive vice president of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific Nigel Lee said that the UK is a melting pot of people from around the world and many have a need to send money to family in their home countries.

“Post Offices are trusted, community institutions that are convenient to home and work. Our partnership with the Post Office has been a mutually successful one, and we are pleased to be able to continue to provide money transfer services through them,”Lee said.
