MoneyGram has hired Lucas Wimer as an executive vice president of operations and technology. He will report to Pamela Patsley, chairman and CEO.

As head of global operations and technology, Mr Wimer will oversee MoneyGram’s service delivery, call centers and IT development.

Mr Wimer brings over 20 years of experience in business consulting, technology and process improvements. He spent 10 years at IBM business consulting services, formerly at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Most recently, he was a principal at THL Partners, where he was a principal in the strategic resources group, with responsibility for implementing business transformation programs across the THL portfolio.

Ms Patsley said: “Mr Wimer has excellent leadership experience in IT, banking and finance operations, and business management, which will make him a valuable asset to MoneyGram’s senior management team. I look forward to leveraging his talents and expertise as we continue to build MoneyGram into a world-class operation.”
