Malaysian lender Maybank has formed a venture with MoneyGram International offering worldwide money transfer, available at Maybank branches and Bureau de Change that display the MoneyGram logo.
The service will enable Malaysian consumers to send cash worldwide by using the money transfer, money orders and payment processing solutions offered by MoneyGram.
Datuk Johar, senior vice president of Maybank, said: This international remittance service taps on Maybank’s network as well as MoneyGram’s global network offering many conveniences and benefits to customers. Funds can be transferred person-to-person around the world in as little as 10 minutes, subject to the agent’s hours of operations and local regulations.
