MasterCard and India's Punjab National Bank have launched a signature-based debit card.
The new PNB MasterCard debit card can be used for all regular transactions and is accepted at more than 1,20,000 retailers as well as 25,000 ATMs across India.
CP Swarankar, executive director of PNB, told local media that, as a bank, it is our constant endeavour to offer the widest possible range of products and services which satisfy the requirements of our different customer groups.
The launch of this new debit card with MasterCard is a step in this direction. I am sure our customers will see immense benefit in this innovative product, he added.
