Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia's fastest growing port and a leading regional transhipment hub, has implemented the Citigroup Internet-based corporate banking platform, CitiDirect Online Banking, to bring its payments infrastructure up to state-of-the-art standards.
CitiDirect is an integrated financial services solution that provides payment initiation, workflow management and online authorization on a secured Internet platform for a full range of payment instruments including GIRO, electronic fund transfers, local and foreign currency drafts.
Using Citigroup’s advanced system integration tools, payment information will be carried from Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) enterprise-resource systems through CitiDirect onto Citibank’s payment processing systems without manual intervention, enabling speed and accuracy.
PTP believes that selecting CitiDirect Online Banking as its payment platform will fulfill its need for a robust and scalable payment-processing platform to manage the high growth of volume it is currently experiencing.
We expect to save substantial time and administrative expenses by taking advantage of Citigroup’s solution, a PTP spokesperson said.
