Lloyds TSB is to use VeriSIM's web site simulation technology as the UK bank looks to increase customer participation in online banking.

Under the terms of the two year agreement, Lloyds TSB will utilize VeriSIM’s simulation technology to set up a program which will allow potential customers to practice internet transactions before committing to the bank’s actual online site.

Lloyds TSB will also deploy the simulation to train its online support staff on its internet banking help-desk and to raise awareness among branch staff in order to reach out to potential customers.

Our solution takes the fear out of the web for banking customers, said James Anderson, chief executive of VeriSIM. Whether they are using dial-up or broadband Internet connections, it simplifies the process of using banking facilities online and gives them the confidence to register and start making transactions from a position of knowledge.

The deal is the latest of several achieved by VeriSIM, who claims its technology is now being implemented by many leading UK banks and financial institutions.
