Lloyds Banking Group has selected UK’s cloud accounting system FreeAgent to become a key element of the bank’s new Business Toolbox.

Powered by Smarta, the Business Toolbox offers a range of small business services that are aimed at making it easier for customers to manage tasks such as accounting, email hosting, credit checking, website building and legal assistance.

From the toolbox list, customers will be able to pick the services they need to use and build up a bespoke monthly subscription based on their choices.

FreeAgent CEO and co-founder Ed Molyneux said: "Lloyds Banking Group is the biggest bank in the UK so we’re delighted to have been selected by them to feature in their new Business Toolbox, which will provide small business owners across the country with the best online tools to manage their ventures.

"Being chosen for inclusion in the Business Toolbox is not only great recognition of the strength of our accounting system, but also a validation of our commitment to helping put small businesses in control of their finances.

Lloyds Bank consumer digital director Nick Williams said: "We are committed to helping UK businesses and the Toolbox has been designed to offer small business owners the very best online tools that will help them run their businesses more effectively and save money.

FreeAgent provides the UK’s online accounting system designed to meet the needs of micro-businesses, freelancers and their accountants.
