KeyBank, a subsidiary of Cleveland-based KeyCorp, is set to expand its services with the addition of five new branches and 30 branch jobs in Northeast Ohio in the next 15 months.

The bank is also planning to relocate three existing Northeast Ohio branches into new buildings in 2011.

The KeyBank’s five branches planned for Northeast Ohio and their estimated openings are Concord in February 2011; Lyndhurst in July 2011; Eastlake in August 2011; Cleveland in October 2011 and Middleburg Heights during the first quarter of 2012.

Upon completion, KeyCorp will have 122 branches in Northeast Ohio, up from 105 branches four years ago.

The bank said it will relocate its Akron main branch in Ohio and Akron-area headquarters into a new building in downtown Akron on January 31, 2011 and the independence branch to a new building in June 2011, and West 117th Street Key branch to new building in November.

In addition to the new Northeast Ohio branches, Key said it will also add 27 other new branches across its 14 state footprint in 2011, adding a total of nearly 200 new branch jobs, with plans to move eight existing branches into new buildings and remodeling of 50 branches.

Since 2007, Key has added 12 new branches and approximately 72 new branch jobs in Northeast Ohio and also relocated six existing branches into new buildings during the same time.

KeyCorp president and chief operating officer Beth Mooney said as Cleveland’s biggest hometown bank and the leader in market share here, the investment in the Northeast Ohio branches reflects Key’s commitment to providing clients with convenient access to the award-winning customer service.
