Jefferies, a global securities and investment banking firm, has expanded its investment banking business by appointing Michael Rintoul as a new managing director and head of business services investment banking.

Mr Rintoul brings to Jefferies over 28 years of investment banking experience, and joins the firm from UBS, where he spent 12 years and was a managing director and global head of technology services investment banking.

Benjamin Lorello, global head of investment banking and capital markets at Jefferies, said: “Business services is an industry of strategic focus for Jefferies, as clients in this sector heavily utilize our capabilities in equity distribution, leveraged finance and sell-side M&A.
