Investment banking firm Jefferies has expanded its European Investment Banking business by appointing new team to European Technology and Telecom Investment Banking.

Dominic Lester has been appointed as a new managing director and head of European Technology and Telecommunications Investment Banking.

Daniel Aharoni has joined Jefferies as a senior vice president and Guillaume Taurignan as new vice president, and both will focus on coverage of the European technology sector. All three bankers will be based in the firm’s London office.

Lester joins Jefferies from UBS where he spent nearly 20 years, most recently as a managing director and head of Technology Investment Banking for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Aharoni will joint with 11 years of investment banking experience, most recently as an executive director at UBS in London in the Technology Investment Banking group responsible for coverage of European semiconductor and technology hardware companies.

Taurignan brings more than seven years of Technology Investment Banking experience, most recently as a director in UBS’ European Technology Investment Banking Group based in London.

Jefferies Investment Banking and Capital Markets global head Benjamin Lorello said that with the addition of Lester, Daniel and Guillaume and firm’s existing senior technology investment banking coverage team of Mark Fisher, managing director and head of European technology investment banking, and managing director Andreas Pieczanski, Jefferies has one of the largest coverage teams in European technology of any global investment bank.
