Jefferies Group, a US-based securities and investment banking firm, has appointed Paul Sandoli as a managing director and head of its ratings advisory group.

In this role Mr Sandoli will be responsible for leading the firm’s efforts in providing credit rating and capital structure advice and analysis to corporate clients in connection with their capital raising and acquisition financing decisions.

Mr Sandoli has over 15 years of investment banking experience, including seven years at Bear Stearns where he was a managing director and led the leveraged finance ratings advisory business. Prior to Bear Stearns, he spent six years at Goldman Sachs in credit risk management and rating agency advisory.

Benjamin Lorello, global head of investment banking and capital markets at Jefferies, said: “The addition of Paul to our debt capital markets team is part of our ongoing strategy to expand the breadth of fixed income services we provide to our corporate clients in advising them on their financing, refinancing, and acquisition funding decisions.”
