InkSure Technologies has received an order from MTM Holography & Security Systems, an authorized InkSure reseller in Turkey, for several hundred compact PocketSure readers to help combat check counterfeiting.
MTM is supplying PocketSure to a major Turkish bank, which will distribute the readers to its branches for the field-level verification of commercial check authenticity. Checks will be imprinted with InkSure’s HoloSure – a secure hologram that incorporates the company’s SmartInk.
According to InkSure, the combination of PocketSure and SmartInk will provide the bank with a highly accurate authentication solution that effectively combats check counterfeiting.
The ability to apply a unique code to the checks, which can be identified only by the PocketSure readers, was a key factor in the customer’s purchase decision, stated Yaron Meerfeld, chief operating officer of InkSure. Using our solution, the bank will now be able to implement intelligent check verification at its branch locations, rather than having to send the checks back to a central facility for authentication.
