ING Groep has announced that Jan Zegering Hadders, chairman of ING Netherlands and head of clients wholesale banking, has decided to retire from the company, effective January 1, 2008. ING has proposed Nick Jue, chairman of ING retail Netherlands, to succeed Mr Hadders.

Mr Hadders joined ING in 1986 as managing director wholesale banking of Postbank and took on increasingly senior positions within the bank. Between 1993 and 1999 he headed the corporate communications and strategy department of ING Group. In 2004 he became a member of the wholesale banking management team as head of clients wholesale banking. In January 2005, he was appointed chairman of ING Netherlands.

Eli Leenaars, member of the executive board of ING group and chairman of the
supervisory board of ING Netherlands, said: Jan Zegering Hadders has been a very valuable member of ING and I am grateful for his many contributions to our company and his commitment to building ING for the benefit of customers and
employees.
