International Cards Company (ICC), a Jordan-based principal member of MasterCard, has launched a new range of services in partnership with OpenWay, a global software company specializing in payment processing for electronic financial cards.

OpenWay’s WAY4 enables ICC to implement EMV standards, in Jordan for both issuing and acquiring businesses.

WAY4 is a payment processing platform that manages credit, debit and prepaid cards, ATM point of sale systems and administers corporate products. The platform is a customer, product, client, account-based system that is EMV and PCI compliant. WAY4 is able to handle an estimated 3,000 transactions each second.

OpenWay claimed that, by implementing the WAY4 software, ICC’s technology will enable it to develop customer-centric and flexible products with security. It will also provide ICC with an opportunity to partner with more banks in Jordan by handling their credit and debit card business through issuing and processing.

Khalil Alami, CEO of ICC, said: “We selected OpenWay because of their considerable experience with processors, as well as WAY4’s impeccable worldwide reputation. This software offers our customers a greater, more innovative range of services, meeting the high standards for which we continuously strive for at ICC.”
