Kathmandu-based private sector commercial lender Himalayan Bank in collaboration with American Express has rolled out its new Gold Credit Card in the country, providing greater benefit on purchasing and travel.
The Gold Credit Card Domestic for Nepal and India offers powerful savings and lifestyle benefits, while Gold Credit Card, International for outside Nepal and India, offers travel benefits.
The domestic card provides savings of up to 20% on dining and 15% on shopping and hotels and spa, while the international credit card offers complimentary membership to the priority pass program that provides access to 600 VIP airport lounges globally.
In order to provide card members with access to travel medical and legal assistance, the card is powered by the American Express Global Assist Services.
The bank will act as the issuing partner for the gold credit cards both domestic & international and merchant acquirer in Nepal, which will be accepted at over 900 Himalayan Bank point of sale terminals and 76 ATMs.
American Express Banking India and area countries global merchant services & partner card services vice president Pranav Barthwal said that the new credit cards will offer outstanding credit card services to consumers in Nepal.
Incorporated in 1993, Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) serves more than 300,000 individuals & institutions out of which more than 150,000 are availing card services.
