First Data to process Deutsche Bank new contactless payment card in Poland

First Data, a provider of electronic commerce and payment processing solutions, has expanded its agreement with Deutsche Bank PBC, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank in Poland, to include issuing and processing of the bank's new contactless payment card program.

First Data, which has been providing issuing and processing services for the Deutsche Bank’s MasterCard and Visa badged cards since 2008, will now provide these services for the bank’s new credit card offering featuring MasterCard PayPass Tap & Go technology.

First Data Poland and Deutsche Bank PBC widened the scope of their cooperation to include issuing and servicing of Visa badged cards incorporating microchips in 2009.

All of Deutsche Bank’s credit cards in Poland now incorporate EMV technology, which helps to ensure advanced safety standards.
