First Data signs payments deal with First Citizens Bank

First Data International has signed a payments processing agreement with Trinidad and Tobago's First Citizens Bank to service the bank's credit card portfolios.

First Data will convert the portfolios to its regional processing company, Processing Center SA (Procesa), which is located in Panama. Procesa offers financial institutions tailored transaction processing services for credit, prepaid, gift and corporate cards in Latin America and the Caribbean.

First Data said that the agreement reinforces the company’s position as a leading payments company in Latin America and the Caribbean.
