First Citizens has selected ClairMail, a provider of mobile banking and payment solutions, for the launch of mobile banking service in Trinidad and Tobago.

Through the ClairMail’s mobile banking solution, First Citizens’ customers can now access their accounts via any mobile device. Customers can use both mobile text banking and mobile web to check balances, transfer funds between accounts and see transaction history.

Customers can also set up personalized alerts for items including, but not limited to, check clearance, balance below a specified threshold, payments due and withdrawals.

First Citizens CEO Larry Howai said that the firm becomes the first bank in Trinidad and Tobago to offer mobile banking.
