Eurex is set to expand its exchange-traded fund (ETF) derivatives segment with the addition of six Lyxor ETFs, and the listing has been scheduled for 20 September 2010.

The Lyxor ETFs are based on the indices DJ Russia Titans, DJ Turkey Titans, Hang Seng China Enterprise Index (HSCEI), Hang Seng Index (HSI), CECE Eastern Europe (CECE EUR) and MSCI Emerging Markets.

Eurex executive board member Peter Reitz said that by adding six more ETF derivatives covering emerging markets, they support the expansion of the ETF market by offering hedging opportunities for investors and ETF issuers.

The new ETF options will be traded in Euro, physically settled (American-style) and have maturities of up to 24 months. The contract size will be 100 units, according to the Eurex.

Eurex has added that Societe Generale will act as market maker to support liquidity in the order book.
