Dollar Bank has deployed mobile remote deposit capture (RDC) solution, Deposit 24/7 Mobile from Wausau Financial Systems.

Dollar Bank marketing vice president Pamela Dancisin said partnership with WAUSAU helped in delivering mobile RDC to its customers.

"Since launching the solution in May, we’ve seen such a great retail response that we plan to extend the solution to our corporate customers in the fall," Dancisin added.

In 2009, the bank first started using RDC systems for its business customers, and to date has distributed over 1,200 merchant RDC systems, thus processing more than $170m in deposits monthly, the bank said.

Dollar Bank treasury management senior vice president and director Judy Murtha said the bank has witnessed great success in leveraging the solution to expand its geographic footprint with small and midsized business customers.

"While customers grasped the RDC concept quickly, we never imagined how successful the technology would enhance the Dollar Bank brand image and lead to this level of new business. This momentum surely will continue as we add mobile RDC to our suite of corporate services," Murtha commented.

Dollar Bank is also planning to integrate Positive Pay service and WAUSAU’s risk monitoring functionality to helps users enjoy seamless benefits of RDC.
