Credit Suisse has appointed Nicole Yuen as a managing director and head of Greater China equities.

Based in Hong Kong, Yuen will assume overall responsibility for all the bank’s existing China equities business.

Yuen joins Credit Suisse from UBS where she spent 18 years, most recently as head of China equities.

She also led many IPOs in Hong Kong and China during her career in corporate finance and was previously a partner at UK law firm Clifford Chance in Hong Kong.

Credit Suisse head of equities for Asia Pacific Ali Naqvi said that Nicole’s appointment underpins the company’s continued commitment to invest in its China equities franchise.

"She will spearhead the build out of our onshore capabilities as opportunities develop. Credit Suisse’s integrated one bank strategy and China’s rapidly expanding financial markets should combine uniquely to provide us with growth opportunities in the coming years," Naqvi said.
