CPI Card Group and Inside Contactless have been selected by Visa Latin America to provide cards with secure contactless technology for three major banks in Guatemala.
The contactless cards will be manufactured by CPI and powered by Inside Contactless’ MicroPass, the leading contactless card chip platform in use within the US market. The cards will be issued at Banco Uno, Banco Custcatlan and Bi-Credit.
As part of the Visa Smart Breakthrough program, CPI has issued over five million contactless cards in the US with several major issuers in the US market. Now, this new deal will see CPI supply cards for the first Visa contactless card project in Latin America.
