Bank of America's investment and wealth management division Columbia Management has announced several management changes for its distribution and portfolio management areas.

The company has appointed Jeffrey Peters as head of institutional distribution and Mr Peters will be reporting to the company’s president, Michael Jones. In his new role, he will oversee Columbia Management’s institutional sales, client service, consultant relations and other international functions. He was most recently with Putnam Investments, where he oversaw the firm’s international business operations.

The company has also named David Feldman and Beth Brown as heads of intermediary distribution and they will also be reporting to Mr Jones. Mr Feldman will serve as head of intermediary sales and will be responsible for all external and internal wholesale distribution of Columbia Management products through financial advisors, and Ms Brown will serve as strategic relations executive and will be responsible for strategic partnering and broadening relationships with intermediary firms. Mr Feldman and Ms Brown have previously held senior distribution roles for the organization and have also held leadership roles at their former firms.

The company also appointed Robert McConnaughey as head of equity and Mr McConnaughey will be reporting to Colin Moore, the company’s chief investment officer and head of alternative investments. Mr McConnaughey joined Columbia Management in 2002 and previously served as director of Columbia Management’s fundamental equity research.
