City National Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of City National Corporation, has appointed Bill Podger as vice president and senior private banker in its San Francisco private client services office.
In his new role, Mr Podger will be responsible for working with a team of experts to deliver comprehensive wealth management and banking solutions to high-net-worth families, select non-profits and professional services firms.
Mr Podger most recently served as director of private wealth management at Deutsche Bank National Trust Company in San Francisco. Before that, he served as senior vice president and private client manager at The Private Bank at Bank of America for over 10 years.
Earlier in his 30-year banking career, Mr Podger held several operations-related positions with Security Pacific Asian Bank, American Asian Bank and Redwood Bank, all in San Francisco, as well as with Merchants National Bank in Syracuse, New York.
