Citigroup Canada is to construct a new $59 million, state-of-the-art facility in Ontario. The site will accommodate approximately 2,000 employees and will help facilitate Citigroup's planned business growth in the Canadian market.
The company says that the new campus headquarters, which is scheduled to begin construction in spring of 2006, will be the hub of many of its Canadian business operations, including Citi Cards Canada, Citi Commerce Solutions of Canada and CitiFinancial Canada.
This new facility will enable Citigroup to become more efficient, maximize our potential for growth and provide new and exciting employment opportunities by bringing a number of our various Canadian business groups together under the same roof, said Ken Quinn, CEO of Citibank Canada. This significant announcement represents the continued evolution of Citigroup’s growth in Canada.
