Citibank has extended its opening hours in four branches in the center of London in a bid to attract city workers who do not have time during the day to visit a branch.
The branches will offer a full counter service for 12 hours a day, six days a week from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday, at the bank’s Oxford Street, The Strand, Monument and Canary Wharf branches in London.
Nandan Mer, country business manager for Citigroup’s UK consumer group, said With today’s increasingly hectic pace of work and social life we are responding to consumer needs by opening our doors when it suits them. Our customers now have the option of banking or discussing their finances outside of a busy lunch hour or peak shopping times.
The extended branch opening hours are backed up by 24/7 internet banking and Citiphone services, the bank said.
