Citibank has appointed Mayank Malik as the CEO for Citibank Jordan replacing Ziyad Akrouk who is transferring, as CEO of Citibank Kuwait.

Mr Malik has spent most of his 25-year banking career within Citibank ranks, mainly in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Most recently, he was the CEO of Citibank Bahrain where he oversaw the bank’s activities across corporate and consumer banking for over three years.

Prior to moving to Bahrain, Mr Malik served as the Citi country officer for Tanzania, and had managed a number of senior assignments in various areas of the corporate and investment banking across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Mr Malik said: “I am delighted to work in Jordan with a great team of professionals and to run a mature business that has been diligently built over the past four decades. Together with the Jordan team, we will continue to provide the highest standards of banking service to our clients in the Kingdom and to fulfill our role as an active member of the Jordanian banking community.”
