Financial services provider Chase has announced that it is adding 423 ATMs in Walgreens drugstores across Texas, from Houston to El Paso, strengthening the firm's presence in the state.

The additional ATMs expand Chase’s statewide ATM network to 1,263 machines. Chase already had 840 ATMs across the state, including 53 cash machines inside Walgreens stores in Dallas and Austin. The new agreement will increase Chase’s Walgreens locations to 476 stores across Texas.

The agreement will also expand Chase’s long-standing relationship with Walgreens to more than 1,800 ATMs in Illinois, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Indiana, Wisconsin, Utah and Ohio, as well as in Texas.

Installation of the ATMs has already commenced and is expected to be complete by the end of 2007. Following completion, Chase will have the most ATMs in Houston and Dallas.

The multi-year branding agreement with Cardtronics, which owns and operates the ATMs, will put the Chase logo on ATMs in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, Rio Grande Valley and Corpus Christi.
