Central Pacific Bank, the primary subsidiary of Hawaii-based bank holding Central Pacific Financial (CPF), has appointed Catherine Ngo as new executive vice president and chief administrative officer (CAO).

According to the bank, the CAO is a newly created position at the company and oversees the legal and compliance, human resources, marketing, service quality, and loan operations areas.

Ngo has more than 17 years of executive experience in the banking and private equity industries as General Counsel of Silicon Valley Bank, chief operating officer of Silicon Valley Bank’s investment subsidiary, Alliant Partners, and most recently as general partner of venture capital firm Startup Capital Ventures.

CPF and CPB executive chairman John Dean said as the bank continue to make progress in efforts to turn the company around, Catherine’s proven success record in banking, operations and investments adds tremendous value to the organization going forward.
