Broadridge Financial Solutions, a provider of technology solutions to the financial services industry, has appointed Susan Certoma as president of its Brokerage Processing Services (BPS) business.

In her new role, Certoma will be responsible for all aspects of Broadridge’s Brokerage Processing Services business which includes equity, option and mutual fund securities processing as well as its Business Process Management (BPM) suite and distributed data product.

She will also assume the responsibility for BPS client services, including the organization of Broadridge’s end-to-end service delivery.

Certoma has been with Broadridge since July 2009, when she joined the firm as chief operating officer of BPS. In that role she oversaw the overall technology and product development strategies including new platform and product innovation and key customer relationships.

Certoma came to Broadridge from Wachovia, where she served as chief information officer of the corporate &investment bank. Prior to Wachovia, she held technology and operations positions with Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, Ernst & Young, First Boston and Royal Bank of Canada.

Broadridge president, securities processing solutions Charlie Marchesani said Susan’s broad business and technology background has proven highly effective in further strengthening and enhancing the client relationships, product offerings, and strategic technology plans over the past year.
